Drill: One drill I would use to practice the basic clear is a drill that pits the defense vs the offense. Since clears are performed primarily by the defense I would use this drill for them to practice. I would place four defenders against three offenders and then switch in the remaining players after each round. The object of the drill is for the defenders to successfully take the ball away from the forwards and clear the ball past the point to where the coach is standing and the forwards objective is to beat the defenders and score on the goalie.
